Seven days after the death of the late Emir of Bauchi Alhaji Sulyman Adamu, 20 persons are already contesting for the vacant seat.
Chairman of the king makers committee, the Madakin Bauchi, district head of Ganjuwa, Alhaji Ahmed Abubakar, told newsmen in Bauchi that the king makers were yet to send their selection to the government saying, they would formalize everything soon and send it to the governor for approval.
Meanwhile, more state governors, top politicians and traditional rulers continued with the condolence visits to the palace. The latest were Governor David Jonah Jang in company of Gbong Gom Jos, national chairman of PDP, National Coordinator Exemplary Leadership of Shekarau 2011, Alhaji Hassan Isah Mai Madara, and Borno State governor, Senator Ali Modu Sherif.
