The Nigerian Leadership Initiative (NLI) will premiere its Notes2Note project on the values of Nigerian founding fathers on naira notes. The event is scheduled to take place on the 26th of May, 2010 at the Genesis Cinemas, Palms Mall, Lekki in Lagos. The event is aimed at the youth and tells the story of Nigeria’s rich history using naira notes. It will be featuring artists like MI, Kate Henshaw-Nuttal, Sasha, TY Bello, Chioma Omeruah, BOUQUI, Omawumi, Aisha Augie-Kuta and Rooftops MCs accompanied by superb animation.

The NLI, whose mission is to mobilise the energy, talent and resource of credible and accomplished Nigerians in the country to tackle the challenges that confronts the nation, was established in 2006 as an international non-profit, non-partisan organization.

The organization was founded by Mr. Segun Aganga, Nigerian Minister of Finance and World Bank chairman, while the founding patron is Dr. Christopher Kolade, Nigerian’s former High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.

The Notes2Note CDs will be distributed to media for broadcast on primetime on all major TV stations, a replication and distribution of CDs to Nigerian schools which NLI intends to reach six states of the country, and eventually, as many states as they can, and special screening in schools which would involve hosting video events in the school.
